Office Based Ultrasound

Since 2009, Dr. Levy has been utilizing office based ultrasound to help with diagnosis and treatments in the office setting. He was featured on Healthy Body, Healthy Mind: Understanding Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Technology and has taught several courses on shoulder and elbow ultrasound including the AMSSM/Andrews Institute MSK Ultrasound Course.

Diagnostic Ultrasound

Dr. Levy utilizes ultrasound to help diagnose common problems of the shoulder and elbow, often without the need for additional sophisticated imaging. For patients that are unable to have an MRI (severe claustrophobia or due to a pacemaker), ultrasound can be the optimal imaging choice.

Ultrasound Guided Injections

By using ultrasound guidance, it is possible to ensure that office injections done in the office are precisely placed in the area of pathology. Several studies have recently shown the value of ultrasound in ensuring accurate placement of injections.
