Outcomes of anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty in patients with excessive glenoid retroversion: a case-control study.
Dr. Levy’s recent publication finds that glenoid retroversion of more than 20 degrees did not influence clinical or radiographic outcomes of anatomic shoulder arthroplasty. There has been suggestion that anatomic shoulder arthroplasty will not perform well with standard components when the glenoid wear pattern has created 20 degrees or more retroversion. This study suggests that patients treated with an anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty did similarly.Outcomes of anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty in patients with excessive glenoid retroversion: a case-control study. – PubMed – NCBI
